Hidden Interiors I began this documentary project in the early eighties. Basically, it was study of how groups of people formed communal enviornments based on their common interest. At the time I was primarily engaged in shooting interior design and architecture design for magazine like HG and Architectural Record, so in many ways I considered this to be a study in "vernacular" design. The "Hidden Interior" project is perhaps the first example of how my personal work and my professional career have continually informed and influenced each other.
