Cryonics, for German Playboy
This story dealt with the growing "immortalist" movement, people who believed that they can be frozen after their death and brought back to life in the future with advanced technologies yet to be invented.
At first I though these people were narcissistic crackpots, but as I learned more I began to realize that their aim was not to live forever, but to be time travelers.
This photograph is of the ALCORE storage facility where over 50 bodies (including Ted Williams) are currently being stored in liquid nitrogen awaiting reanimation.
